Introducing the WaterShield Family of air and water-resistant barrier coatings and accessories, for use with FACADESXi Xterior EIFS, Stucco, Masonry Veneer and Cement board systems. Upgrade your system (and your warranty) to the single source WaterShield Advantage from FACADESXi.

Watershield is fluid-applied by spraying or rolling under any cladding, creating a monolithic water-resistive and air barrier. Watershield is durable, will not be ripped or torn during environmental conditions and is UV Stable.

  • Use only on surfaces that are sound, dry, clean, unpainted, and free from any residue that may affect the ability of the FACADESXi Products to bond.
  • WaterShield is UV Stable; however it should not be left exposed more than 6 months. The surface must be examined before installing any cladding and when using EIFS. If exposed more than 30 days, the surface must be cleaned and dry.
  • When installing fasteners through WaterShield, ensure the fasteners attach into framing members.
  • A slip sheet is required when the cladding is a cement based stucco or mortar bed to prevent adhesion.
  • Seal all penetrations at the WaterShield surface.
  • Cold or humid weather will extend drying time.
  • Application in direct sunlight will reduce open time significantly.
  • Use clean materials and tools to prevent contamination of the material.
  • Not for use in a negative pressure water proofing, or in immersion.
  • Not for direct use over wood substrates.
  • Wear protective eye-wear and clothing
  • Always use proper safety equipment when handling this product. Use a particle mask when mixing and/or applying.
  • Provide protection from excessive heat or cold. Ambient and surface temperatures mush be above 40°F (4.4°C) and below 120°F (49°C) during application and at least 72 hours after application. Also protect from precipitation.
